1. Hands-On ECG Lead Placement Practice
One of the most important aspects of ECG training is learning how to place leads. Realityworks’ ECG Simulators allow students to practice accurate placement of 3-, 4-, 5-, and 12-lead configurations through rib palpation. The accompanying software provides immediate feedback, and the electrodes and wires are the same as those used in professional practice.
2. ECG Rhythm Reading and Interpretation
Another vital skill in ECG training is reading and interpreting rhythms. The ECG Simulators allow students to practice reading 3-, 4-, 5-, and 12-lead rhythms. You can project the rhythms from the included smart device for classroom discussion or use Assessment mode to quiz students on various sequences. Students can also practice identifying 16 rhythms with the included flashcards.
3. Creative Classroom Management Opportunities
With the simulator, smart device, student workbooks, and flashcards, you have a variety of options for classroom management. The workbooks contain quizzes and worksheets that test students’ knowledge on valuable ECG training topics, such as cardiac conduction, obtaining rhythm strips, ECG interpretation, and more.

4. Ready-to-Use, Downloadable Curriculum
The simulators come with a flexible ECG training curriculum with about two hours of teaching time. You can teach the curriculum as is or pick and choose lessons and activities that fit your current lesson plan. There are five lesson topics covered, such as ECG leads and obtaining rhythm strips, ECG interpretation, and atrial arrhythmias.
