Our top customer questions:
Question: Is there a limit to the number of instructors or students with the system?
Answer: No. There is not a subscription plan with the VR system. In fact, you can install it as often as you need, and create as many students and instructor users as necessary.
Question: What are some good ways to implement the guideWELD® VR system?
Answer: The guideWELD VR system is great for providing a safe, exploratory look into welding for younger students. As this Illinois welding instructor recently shared, it can also be used for student competitions, thereby encouraging students to learn from each other. It is ideal for learning those basic skills you will need for any welding in a less intimidating environment.
Question: What systems can the guideWELD VR run on?
Answer: Windows 7 – 10 and Mac OS 10.9 and up.
Question: What makes your system unique?
Answer: The guideWELD VR is not just an environment in which to safely practice welding. It also provides corrective feedback to the student on their technique as they weld. It tracks different dexterity guides and lets the student know if their angles, position, or speed is off so they can correct it real time and be practicing proper technique every time they practice.

How many students can work at a time on a single simulator?
Great question, Andrea! Thanks for stopping by 🙂 One student can work on one simulator at a time, and students can take turns as much or as little as possible – after a single weld attempt or after several; whatever works for your classroom! I hope this answers your question. If you have any more, feel free to contact us at information@realityworks.com, 800-830-1416 or by live chatting on our website. Thanks again!
