By Nate Schlieve, Realityworks Product Support Technician

A new school year is upon us, and it’s important to make sure your RealCare Babies have up-to-date firmware and Control Center software so they can perform their best.

First, check that you are using the most recent version of the Control Center.
  1. Open the Control Center
  2. Click “Help”
  3. Scroll down and click “About”
  4. If the version you are using is below 4.5, click on the following link and then click the box for either Windows or Mac: https://www.realityworks.com/knowledge-base/realcare-baby-control-center/
Next, you will want to make sure that the Babies are using the most recent version of the firmware.
  1. Open the Control Center
  2. If any of the Babies have an * next to the communication indicator then your Babies are due for a firmware update
  3. To update the firmware follow along with the instructions here

Why do I want to use the most recent version of Control Center and Baby firmware? Older versions of the Control Center work slower. Also, the newest version has new prompts and a tutorial when you open it in case you need a refresher on how to program the Babies. Updating Baby’s firmware will also improve how the Baby communicates with the Control Center as well as helping with battery performance when in a simulation.
