“We are humbled by the honors we have recently received from the career and technical education community for our dedication to the industry,” said Boettcher. “Realityworks employees have a great passion for bringing educators materials and ideas to improve the human condition has resulted in a 21st Century welding lab that will revolutionize welding education and I am excited that their work is being recognized.”

Realityworks’ exhibit booth at the Vision conference showed RealCareer Welding Solutions product line featuring two systems that create more effective welders more efficiently: the guideWELD™ VR welding simulator and guideWELD™ LIVE real welding guidance system. guideWELD VR is a stand-alone virtual welding simulator that provides feedback and instruction by recording student’s virtual welds. Educators can create customizable welding assignments in the virtual world of guideWELD VR to help students prepare for the shop environment. guideWELD LIVE, considered the future of welding education, is used during live welding to provide immediate in-helmet feedback on core aspects of welding technique. This real-time feedback occurs in the user’s periphery vision inside the welding helmet. By monitoring that feedback, the user can make corrections to technique while they weld.
