St. Louis Educator Joins Realityworks’ RealCare Customer Advisory Council

Eau Claire, Wis. (February 2, 2016) –St. Louis Family and Consumer Sciences educator Marcia Barasch has been awarded a seat on the RealCare Customer Advisory Council for Realityworks, Inc., an experiential learning company based in Eau Claire, WI. Having worked in the family and consumer sciences fields of human relations, interior design, clothing design, culinary arts and curriculum development, Marcia will be an asset to the council as it explores new innovations and develops future RealCare products.

Marcia’s passion and dedication to educating is clear from her experience as a cooperating teacher, mentor and current team lead and member of the National Education Association (NEA). Marcia also has 12 years of experience working with the RealCare Baby® infant simulator, which she has used to provide memorable, measurable infant care experiences to many young people. Marcia’s first responsibility as a council member will be attending the RealCare Customer Advisory Council meeting in the spring, where she will act as a voice for her fellow educators and as a beta tester for future products.

The RealCare Customer Advisory Council was established in 2012 to help Realityworks make its programs even more beneficial to the fields of career and technical education, family and consumer sciences, health and human services. The council gives passionate customers a voice in product development initiatives and the opportunity to provide valuable insight into best practices and marketing strategies for the program. It is comprised of leading educators in the areas of early childhood education, parenting skills, teen pregnancy prevention, healthy relationships and child care career skills. Members’ experience educating youth on these subjects is used to further guide and direct Realityworks’ product offerings.

"The RealCare Customer Advisory Council has assisted Realityworks in envisioning fresh, new features for our products," said Realityworks President and CEO Timmothy Boettcher. "Many of these ideas have become a reality as Baby has developed. We are always looking for new ways to make our products more effective for our users.”
