The Cow Model is one-sixth the size of an actual cow. It features realistic details of internal and external cow anatomy, including the reproductive system, the digestive system, and udder structures. When separated at the midline, 13 organ and body parts can be removed and studied.
We were able to purchase several models from Realityworks, with the cow model being one of them. When we received the model, it was packaged very well. I was a little surprised at how large the model was in real life! My students have had a great time taking the model apart and seeing how the organs come together within in the animal. The posters were an added bonus as was the digital lessons provided with the model. I am very glad that we purchased this model and look forward to future opportunities to add more items to our classrooms for our students to engage in hands-on activities and learning!

We purchased several of the animal models for our middle school ag programs. We had them delivered at the high school where high school ag students unboxed them for us. The high school students fell in love with them! We are having to take them from the high school to the middle schools because all levels of learners enjoy learning with them.

This product is great for my classroom, the students are able to see the different organs. Being able to use this for hands on really keeps the students engaged.

The first time we used them and the students realized they opened up and have organs in them, they were so excited! They’ve really thrived learning from them, and they don’t even realize they are learning – they’re just having fun.

This year the Agricultural Technology Program is looking to expand its animal science offerings and strengthen our curriculum so we can attract more students and be more competitive with other colleges. When we survey students, they’ve asked for more hands-on activities. [Realityworks’] equipment would allow us to do that. We have not used technology money in the past for animal science equipment and feel it is time to make some updates to the program. This equipment will also help us recruit more students and give the classroom a stronger feel. We can also take some of the equipment out to schools, visit days and career shows. Also, this equipment will help train the students to enter the workforce or take necessary skills back to farm operations. The addition of this livestock equipment will help establish Iowa Central as a leader in animal science.
