Read on to learn more about how this bend tester can help teach essential skills for ensuring quality and safety in welds.
Designed With Education in Mind
This eight-ton, hydraulic bend test fixture allows educators to conduct destructive weld testing in a classroom as well as a welding lab. It features an auto-close safety cover, three interchangeable plunger sizes, and three movable roller positions. The manual-guided weld Bend Tester also has adjustable feet, a hydraulic jack, and a jack lever handle.
Includes Standards-Aligned Curriculum
Our weld Bend Tester comes with an eight-lesson curriculum that covers topics such as nondestructive and destructive testing, preparing to weld for a bend test qualification, and welding a qualification test. It boasts approximately 15 hours of teaching content, but you can pick and choose lessons and activities that fit your current lesson plan.
Comes With Bend Tester Posters
The Bend Tester comes with two posters with information on bend tester qualification, bending basics, weld preparation, and safety. They illustrate different bends, discontinuity examples, and bend tester parts. Students can use them as a reminder of examination tools and plunger/roller setup. The Qualifications poster also explains what sum all weld surface discontinuities should not exceed.
