Meet Anne Bogstad, one of the Account Managers here at Realityworks. Anne has been with Realityworks for over 12 years. She consults with organizations, agencies and schools to help make a difference in young people’s lives.
“I am an Account Manager covering 4 states: Alaska, California, Massachusetts and New York,” said Anne. “I have the pleasure of working directly with teachers and administrators learning about their programs and needs. I help them evaluate our simulators and skills training tools and implement them into their programs.”
When Anne started, RealCare Baby® and guideWELD® training tools were the only ones Realityworks offered. A part of Anne’s position is to demonstrate how all our training tools work and ways they can be implemented into CTE program. She has had to learn A LOT of new training tools over the years, so we asked Anne which was her favorite.
“The guideWELD® VR welding simulator,” said Anne. “This product is really innovative. I love this technology and what it can do to transform a student’s welding trajectory. Students love it! It is a product that I get a chance to do the most education on. Many welding instructors don’t necessarily believe in welding simulation; it is new to them and that is okay! But many times, I can help educate them on the benefits of it and they then have that ‘aha’ moment and change their tune! It is also fun to help administrators with this; they typically love the idea of it, but many of them don’t know a lot about the ins and outs welding. I can help educate them on welding using the guideWELD VR simulator and from what I learn from my customers.”
Prior to 2020, Anne would travel to conferences and meetings in her territory, with Realityworks’ corporate headquarters as her local office. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Anne transitioned to working from home.
“In the spring of 2020, I moved my desk and monitors to my home for my home base office,” said Anne. “I have a window here and a 110-pound furry co-worker! Prior to that, I had a cubicle at the corporate office and traveled to conferences and schools for meetings throughout the year. With that set-up there was a big need to balance work and life since I was gone for a few days at a time. To do that successfully, I believe it was all about good planning, setting goals and prioritizing. When I moved to my home office, the transition was pretty easy because my mindset, priorities and values are all still the same.”

After being stuck inside her home office through the Wisconsin winter, we asked Anne what she enjoys doing in the summer when she’s not working.
“My favorite thing about summer is sitting on my back deck with friends and family, or with a book and my dog,” said Anne. “Enjoying the beauty of a freshly mowed lawn, the bright pop of color from my flowerpots and surrounded by the of smells of savory meats smoking on our BBQ grill!”
Anne has been with Realityworks for over a decade and has made many fun memories with colleagues. One of her favorite moments would be running the Eau Claire Marathon Relay with colleagues from Realityworks’ sales and marketing departments.

“We did that I think 5 or 6 years,” said Anne. “So many fun memories and a fun competition!”
