A new school year is upon us, and it’s important to make sure your RealCare Babies have up-to-date firmware and Control Center software so they can perform their best.
First, check that you are using the most recent version of the Control Center.
- Open the Control Center
- Click “Help”
- Scroll down and click “About”
- If the version you are using is below 4.5, click on the following link and then click the box for either Windows or Mac: https://www.realityworks.com/knowledge-base/realcare-baby-control-center/
Next, you will want to make sure that the Babies are using the most recent version of the firmware.
- Open the Control Center
- If any of the Babies have an * next to the communication indicator then your Babies are due for a firmware update
- To update the firmware follow along with the instructions here
Why do I want to use the most recent version of Control Center and Baby firmware? Older versions of the Control Center work slower. Also, the newest version has new prompts and a tutorial when you open it in case you need a refresher on how to program the Babies. Updating Baby’s firmware will also improve how the Baby communicates with the Control Center as well as helping with battery performance when in a simulation.
