(March 30, 2023) – Realityworks, Inc., a leader in experiential learning solutions, is excited to announce that its RC Tractor Pull Challenge has been recognized as a STEM Solution Finalist by the 2023 EdTech Cool Tool Awards. The program was recognized for its innovative approach to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.

Celebrating its 13th year, the US-based EdTech Awards program is the world’s largest recognition program for education technology, recognizing the biggest names in edtech. This year’s finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including pedagogical workability, efficacy and results, support, clarity, value and potential.
The RC Tractor Pull Challenge offers a tractor and pulling sled combination that is designed to gradually increase resistance, which allows varying endpoints based on the strength of the pull. This lets students use competition and creativity to study Newton’s first three laws of motion. The RC Tractor Pull Challenge includes curriculum that challenges students to look at data from their pulling tractors to create a hypothesis and use the design process to view outcomes that help students engage in the STEM experience.
“Experiential learning and competition are both effective methods for increasing retention and bolstering critical thinking skills,” stated Boettcher. “The RC Tractor Pull Challenge uses both to engage students in important STEM concepts.”
