From our Product Support Team: Address a Corrupt RealCare Baby Report in 4 Steps

By Nate Schlieve, Realityworks Product Support Technician

We all know what it feels like when the technology we rely on doesn’t work properly. Whether your email program suddenly refuses to open, your cell phone suddenly cannot locate a data connection or your RealCare Baby Control Center Software doesn’t do what you expect it to do, the experience can be frustrating.

Have you ever received Babies following a simulation and seen a report that has unusual symbols, an incorrect start date, battery shutdown or a large number of unknown event codes? Although corrupt reports do not happen often, they are caused by environmental interference (WiFi, walls, wireless communications, certain florescent lights, etc.) that occurs when the Control Center is retrieving the data from Baby.

A corrupt report is caused by environmental interference like WiFi, walls, wireless communications, etc., that occurs when the Control Center is retrieving the data from Baby.

Well, there’s good news: You can still retrieve the correct report as long as you do not run any demonstrations, troubleshooting or programs. In fact, doing so requires just 4 simple step:

1. Go to the class folder, select the corrupt report and click “Delete:”

2. Go to the Trash folder, select the corrupt report and click “Delete:”

3. Click on the blue “All” Baby, put a checkmark in the box next to the Baby with the missing report and click “Stop:”

4. Baby will chime and it will send its data into the Control Center. Look in the class folder to find the simulation report.
