“RealCare Baby has made such a difference in my classroom,” said Lori Brumbaugh, a 2018 ACTE Region III & National Finalist Teacher of the Year. “It’s so different than just doing a regular parenting interview; it’s different than flour babies and egg babies… it’s a much more realistic simulation.”
“Not only are [my students] excited to take Baby home, but I know it will teach them more than caring for an infant. This project helps students understand the importance of balance, planning, and problem solving,” said Melissa Priester, FCS teacher at Grayslake Central High School in Grayslake, Illinois.
You’re ready to add RealCare Baby to your program. But are your decision-makers ready to support you? In this recent webinar, two seasoned Realityworks account managers, Anne and Karen, share tips they’ve learned from teachers like you on getting your school’s buy-in for a RealCare Baby Program.
Discover your why
“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it. And what you do simply proves what you believe” says inspirational speaker Simon Sinek. Reinforce your why by watching this video as other teachers share the impact RealCare Baby has on their students, classrooms and programs.
Karen’s six E’s will help you organize and present your why to your school’s decision-makers:
- Engaging. RealCare Baby is engaging for the short attention spans of tech-savvy Gen Z students
- Experiential learning. Baby offers learning by doing, student reflection and journaling
- Enrollment. Countless teachers tell us students take their class just for the infant simulators
- Exploring careers. Many careers include working with children such as daycare provider, before- and after school program education, medical or social service fields, and pediatric nurse
- Effective instruction. Teachers agree, RealCare Baby teaches students more than caring for an infant – it helps them to understand the importance of balance, planning, and problem solving
- Easy to implement. With Realityworks’ free training and resources available online, you’ll be a pro in no time!
