Summer is our favorite time of the year. Why? It’s education conference season! That means we get to travel across the country to state and national education conferences, showcasing our hands-on learning aids and connecting with the teachers who inspire our tools.
As we plan to ensure a successful summer conference season for our team, consider these tips to help you make the most of your own summer conference experience.

Visit with vendors
Many conferences will provide a list of some, if not all, of the conference exhibitors. If there is a particular exhibitor you want to be sure to speak with, plan ahead – find out where they’ll be located and set a time to visit their booth. Otherwise, wander the floor to see what you discover!
We’re here to share information and answer questions, so stop by and say hello. This is a particularly great way to meet your local Realityworks account manager and find out what’s hot in your area. Ask questions, explore new training tools and participate in our special conference giveaways!
Participate in conference presentations
Although we hope you’ll spend time interacting with exhibitors, our team seeks out presentation opportunities whenever possible. We see education conference presentations as opportunities to not only share the impact of our products, but offer tips and tricks to help attendees in their own classrooms.
Look to us for presentations on topics like helping health science students develop geriatric sensitivity, teaching soft skills in any classroom, engaging future childcare workers and more.

Dress comfortably (and bring layers)
Before the pandemic, our account managers traveled to more than 50 education conferences every summer. If they learned one thing, it’s to dress comfortably – and bring layers! Comfortable shoes will prevent your feet from aching after walking all day. An extra sweater will ensure you are warm even with the air conditioning is blasting.
Bring extra business cards
Whether you’re entering to win a product voucher at our exhibit booth or requesting contact from your local account manager, a business card makes it easy to share your preferred contact information.
No business cards? No problem. Many exhibitors offer lead card scanners or other easy methods to share contact information, like the QR codes you’ll find at Realityworks’ booth this summer. Simply scan the code with your smart phone’s camera and you’ll be directed to a short contact form.
Don’t forget the giveaways
