In the field of sports medicine, upper extremity dislocations are a frequent occurrence. Unfortunately, learners preparing for careers in this field can only practice treating these injuries if they happen to see them in person, and not every student receives the same practice opportunities. That’s why we created the Upper Extremity Dislocation Trainer. Read on as we explore the unique features of this hands-on teaching tool.
Assess and Relocate 8 Upper Extremity Injuries
Learners will feel like they’re reducing a real arm with this trainer’s fully articulating joints and realistic skin. This learning aid gives students safe, repeatable practice relocating the following injuries:
- Anterior and posterior shoulder dislocations
- Simple elbow dislocations
- Volar dislocation of the thumb
- Medial and lateral dislocations of the pointer finger
- Dorsal and volar dislocation of the middle finger
Save Time with Ready-to-Use Curriculum
This trainer comes with downloadable curriculum that features three lessons on upper extremity injuries. Each lesson focuses on a different injury location: shoulder, elbow, and finger. You can teach the entire curriculum within three to four hours or select lessons and activities that best fit your class. The curriculum also includes presentation slides, student activities, and pre- and post-assessments.
