Meet Yarshun Jayakumar, one of Realityworks’ Electrical Engineers. Yarshun joined the Realityworks team a little over a year ago and has supported many Realityworks products.
“I design, build and test the circuits that make some of our products work,” said Yarshun. “On the design front, it’s mainly putting together schematics and designing printed circuit boards (PCBs). I then populate these PCBs for both R&D and production (when necessary). Once these boards are built, I test them to make sure they meet our requirements.”
Contributing to award-winning products
Realityworks has launched over 20 new products since Yarshun started. He has supported 5 of those new products and 4 existing products. One of his favorite products is our award-winning, one-of-a-kind ECG Simulator.
“I think the ECG Simulator is really cool as it is unique and definitely helps its users develop important skills that could help them save lives,” said Yarshun.
Adjusting to work in a pandemic
Over the past year, Realityworks’ corporate office has been under construction to provide more space for our engineering and manufacturing teams. We asked Yarshun how he manages his work-life balance with all the changes going on around him.
“I still work in the office!” said Yarshun. “I allocate time daily to do things that interest me and are important for my personal growth. I think that’s the best way to stay balanced and allow you to consistently give 100% in everything you do.”
When Yarshun is not helping support new or existing products enjoys reading and spending time outside, when it’s not too cold out!
“I like reading and spend most of my nights and weekend mornings doing so. I also love playing soccer but when winter comes around, I lift weights instead.”
