Meet Nathan Danielson, Realityworks’ Product Support Technician. He has been with Realityworks for a little over 5 years and wears many hats in the Product Support department. Nathan might sound familiar to you if you recently attended one of our guideWELD VR® demonstrations or if you have reached out to our Product Support team.
“My job is to make sure our customers are successful with our products,” Nathan said. “Whether that takes to form of getting damaged things repaired or training on product and assisting with implementation.”
Growing experiences at a growing company
When Nathan first started working at Realityworks the Product Support department was assisting customers on about 50 different products. Today, they assist customers on over 150 products and counting. We never like to play favorites here at Realityworks; deep down there is always a product we have an extra-special spot for.
“If I had to pick a favorite product currently, I would choose guideWELD VR,” Nathan shared. “I have had a lot of chances to work with different customers who I am training on the system and I love hearing the ideas and thoughts they have for using it. It is an excellent tool for getting to students interested who otherwise would never touch a welder.”
Adjusting to work in a pandemic
When COVID-19 hit Realityworks many employees moved their offices home, which brought a new work-life balance. We asked Nathan how he has managed his work-life balance since the change.
“My mother always told me, ‘keep a clear line between work and home. If you are having trouble with one, leave it there while working with the other.’ That said, it is much easier to accomplish when you love what you do.”
Realityworks is a Wisconsin-based company where we endure many cold and snowy winters. To avoid the cold temperatures Nathan enjoys testing his skills in the kitchen.
“My favorite winter activity would be baking,” he said. “I am not a friend of the cold, but the smell of warm bread coming out of a hot oven is soothing in a way that is hard to describe.”
