The pork model and beef model have been great teaching tools. They are high-quality items. I anticipate we will be able to use them for many years.

This model is amazing! I have used it with 3rd-12th graders and as a session at our state cattlemen’s convention. It’s great to breakdown the whole carcass in a hands-on way. I let them use it as a puzzle, so they really get the whole effect! I now have numerous cattlemen’s chapters lined up to teach (and showcase the model) here in the next 6-months, across Georgia. I love it! I actually keep mine in a rolling cooler for ease of moving, safety of materials, and the comedic factor.

We are very excited about using our beef model! It is wonderful to be able to separate the meat cuts all the way down to consumable items found in the store. This will really allow students to get the butcher’s view of breaking down a carcass into consumable cuts.

The beef cuts has been a great addition to my classroom. It is a great wat to have hand-on views of various cuts and helps students to understand the basics in our meats unit. While the coloring is a bit different than actual cuts, the students are still able to understand the shape and can answer accurately on assessments with actual cuts after studying with the model. Excited to bring it out again this year in my classroom!

This has been a great tool to use in my curriculum. I mainly teach courses for undergraduate students, but I have used this model for middle and high school groups as well as adult learners. The pieces within each primal fit nicely, but the magnets between primals sometimes come loose. Overall, this model is a great visual tool to help students understand where common retail cuts come from. I look forward to using this for many years to come.
