RealCare™ Infant Health and Safety Pack
If one of your safety month topics is infant and toddler safety issues, the Infant Health and Safety Pack can bring a variety of learning opportunities to the lesson. It includes a Choking Baby, Infant CPR Manikin, two posters, 20 scenario cards, and student workbooks. From proper infant choking and CPR procedures to emergency response, these tools can help teach 50 infant safety and first aid processes.
RealCareer™ Food Safety Kit
With one in six Americans getting sick from contaminated food and beverages every year, food safety is an excellent safety month topic to discuss in culinary courses. The RealCareer™ Food Safety Kit can help as it covers basic food safety and handling techniques used in culinary careers and at home. Its includede curriculum integrates hands-on activities for up to six small groups to work on activities simultaneously.
RealCare™ Shaken Baby
Shaken baby syndrome, or abusive head trauma, is the leading cause of child abuse deaths in the U.S. This makes it a crucial safety month topic regarding infants. The realistic Shaken Baby simulator can help with a transparent head that lights up, indicating the areas of the brain damaged from shaking. Students can also practice soothing infants with the included swaddling garment.
Kitchen Safety Kit
Use our Kitchen Safety Kit to introduce basic kitchen safety concepts and techniques to your students in an easy-to-use, one-week unit. While the Food Safety Kit focuses on the safety month topics of foodborne illnesses and cross contamination, this kit covers sanitation, knife safety, and hazard prevention. The Kitchen Safety Kit works with any textbook or curriculum already in use and includes trivia cards, posters, and hands-on activities.
Child Abuse and Neglect Training Kit
The Child Abuse and Neglect Training Kit introduces students to child physical, sexual, and psychological abuse as well as neglect. While this may be a difficult safety month topic to discuss, it’s still important to know the signs of child abuse and how to report it. The kit can help you create realistic practice scenarios with two moulage kits in light and dark skin tones that depict various physical abuse injuries, like abrasions and fractures.
Dental Safety Training Kit
If dental safety is one of your safety month topics, the Dental Safety Training Kit can provide you with posters, scenario cards, and curricula all about safety for dental assistants. The kit gives your students realistic opportunities to practice key dental safety skills while helping them prepare to become future dental assistant. Its included curricula cover topics such as dental instrument sterilization, radiation safety, and infection prevention.
Elder Abuse Training Kit
If you’re looking to cover older adults in your safety month topics, the Elder Abuse Training Kit can introduce students to five types of elder abuse. It addresses risk factors for abuse, how to identify and report it, and how to prevent it when possible. Like the Child Abuse and Neglect Training Kit, the included skin condition models can be applied to students or manikins to create more realistic scenarios.
