  1. Linda P

I have two of them and it worked out well with my class of 18. I had students pair up to create an infant room design and a preschool room design. Then for their final for the class, students had to create their own individual diorama using paper boxes. Students really liked them.

  2. Bethany R., FCS Teacher

We have this idea of what a space is, but having that understanding of how much space a crib takes up, or a table, really puts you into that more realistic mindset of, how do I adjust? When you just draw it, you can make the tables smaller so you can put everything you want in. But when you have the board and the furniture to scale, you can’t modify the size of the furniture – you have to modify your creative thinking and problem-solving.
