  1. Cody Mooneyhan

I cannot express enough how invaluable the Realityworks Infant Simulators have been in our Family and Consumer Sciences program. As an educator with over 20 years of experience, I’ve seen firsthand the evolution of these simulators, and they continue to impress me. An added bonus – the staff is so easy to work with!

Students and parents alike adore having these simulators in our classroom. They go beyond being just ‘fun’ toys; they are a comprehensive curriculum that immerses students in the realities of parenting. The attention to detail in student reporting is remarkable, providing a clear overview of each student’s journey during the simulation. This not only helps us identify areas of struggle but also allows for a deeper understanding of where teaching emphasis should be placed.

The simulations offer a full-circle experience, allowing students to explore the ups and downs of parenting in a safe and controlled environment. It’s incredible to witness the growth and insights students gain from these simulations. I highly recommend the Realityworks Infant Simulators to any educator looking to provide a hands-on, impactful learning experience for their students.

  2. Kelsie Engelken

The RealCare Baby 3 is a great addition to my Child Development program. Students are able to practice caring for the infants during class when we cover newborn needs and then they are able to take the RealCare Baby 3 home for the weekend to get some insight into how life might be different if they were a teen parent.

  3. Megan Griffiths

I love the simulators. The programming is super quick and easy. My students really enjoy the experience too.

  4. Marsha Coffee

Great program for the teaching of students and parents. This is the most realistic project students can take part in. I have found that the on line help is beneficial and also calling in for help. My students have found success in using the RealCare Babies in the teaching field and in parenting. This is the only program that I as the teacher would choose in teaching teens.

  5. Sarah Ohl

I love these infant simulators! I have been using them for 11 years and the impact they have on students is tremendous. My favorite responses are the morning following a hard setting when the student walks in crying, “Mrs Ohl, you don’t want me to have a baby.” My response is “No, I just don’t want you to have one in high school.”

  6. Wendy Watson

We just ordered the babies this year with grant money. My students LOVE them. I am still learning how to implement them in class. The company is GREAT and helpful! They respond quickly when I needed help!

  7. Lisa Stith

The RealCare Baby 3 has really been an eye opener for my students! They realized they have to rearrange their whole life to accommodate a baby. The reports that come back from the baby are quite helpful. I love that I can provide quiet time and make other modifications as necessary for each student.

  8. Britney Holtman

I LOVE the Real Care Babies for my Parenting Class. It is a great life lesson for my students to understand how much care goes into taking care of a baby. Also, the Real Care Babies bring up a lot of great real life discussion questions from my students. My students schedule a weekend to take the baby home and then have to keep track of a journal of the care they provided for baby. When they return the baby, the talk about their experiences with the baby. My Parenting Class is ALWAYS full and I think it is mostly because of the Real Care Baby Simulators. I have also bought the other babies; drug addicted, alcohol fetal, and the shaken baby. Those babies are great for the earlier lessons I teach in Parenting about improper care. I appreciate RealityWorks with providing products that are hands on for the Family and Consumer Science Content.

  9. Jodi

I’m a Family & Consumer Science teacher. I use these simulated babies in my “Child Development” course. It truly is such a great hands-on experience for what it’s like to be a parent taking care of an infant. My students look forward to this project every year. Many of them have came back explaining how it was tough, but it’s taught them a lot about how maybe they aren’t necessarily ready at their age (13-18) for all the responsibilities that comes with having an infant. It also opens up their minds to how much their own families has sacrificed to take care of them when they were little.

  10. Abigael Bowen

I love my RealCare Infants and so do my students! They are such an engaging way to get students connecting with an infant or childcare unit. Consistently, my students take their time with the RealCare Infants more seriously than they take any of our other projects throughout the year. They see the connection to their future and want to be prepared!

  11. Amy Abbott

My students look forward to caring for the Real Care Baby every year. We practice in class until they are ready to take them home for two or three nights if they choose a weekend. It is amazing how quickly they realize how much work an infant is. Almost all of them come back and say that they are NOT ready to become parents. I am so thankful my school has allowed me to use them for over 20 years now. The curriculum that comes with Baby is also high quality.

  12. Kendra

We upgraded our class set of RealCare babies to the Baby 3 and have unlocked a new teaching tool in doing so. My students have gained a whole new perspective on the challenge of becoming a teen parent in one weekend. I am grateful to have given them this experience!

  13. Cate

While not 100% accurate to taking care of a real baby, these babies are very close. Gives students a huge reality check!

  14. Olivia

The RealCare Baby 3 is amazing! They are great quality and my students look forward to taking them home every year! It is a great experience for high school students to care for the RealCare Baby.

  15. Kelli

It is super easy to add and create a program for the babies. I feel that my students learn the most when they take what they learned all semester and take the babies home to care for the weekend.

  16. Franzen Crosby

I am really impressed by how advanced and innovative the RealCare Baby 3 simulator works! Having graduated high school more than ten years ago, I never got to take part in any kind of simulation experience.To-day, I am a team member of a nonprofit organisation whose mission is to help adults and families with mental illness learn and reinforce skills that they may have forgotten. We would be really interested in knowing if you have any resources for materials geared towards this population. I understand most of your materials are primarily aimed at junior/middle school and high school students, but I also think college-aged and new/first-time adult parents who are anxious about bringing a baby into the world could really benefit from this programme, as well!

  17. Nellie G., LCSW-R, Social Worker, High School of Arts and Technology

I love that part of your curriculum is geared towards middle school, because that’s real life. I’ve had previous students who were entering high school with children already. We need to support our students early on with this information and these resources.

  18. Mariela G., Principal, High School of Arts and Technology, NY

Over the course of the last school year, we have had close to two dozen students participate in this program. Nothing replaces personal interactions and real-world learning. The understandings and realizations that students had as a result of this experience could not have been replicated in any other way.

  19. Aliyah Anderson

This baby is perfect for all my students! I think it is a great way to teach them how to be parents and how to have patience and tolerance for it. We went over a lesson about shaken baby syndrome and I think going through that first helped. The babies are really sensitive though haha. I think it would be better if it wasn’t as sensitive. Also all the babies are set up differently so some of them cry for hours on end and non of my students get sleep, but they are Jr.High students so they don’t sleep anyways! I will keep using these babies as long as I teach!

  20. Cheryl B., FACS Educator and CTE Child Development Internship Coordinator

I really do think this is one of the greatest tools available for us to help our students become the strong, positive, and healthy society of our future.

  21. Holly Noah

I’ve received the Real Care package but haven’t used them in a class yet. Students at our school know that we have them and are excited for the classes I will be introducing them in. The quality is impeccable. I think that the range of baby needs that can be programmed will be amazing to fit with the abilities of individual students.

  22. Stacey

I have heard good things about the realcare baby simulator I didn’t buy any yet but I’m trying to start a fundraiser for my school so we could have hands on learning with the baby simulator. I have a few questions
    1. Do you have a company in Canada?
    2. How much in Canadian money do the babies cost for 1 weekend with 10 to 15 of them.
I am 12 years old and trying to have this product in my school

    • General Marketing

Thanks for your interest, Stacey! Our Canadian partner is a great company called Studica. You can learn more by visiting their website here: studica.com/ca/en/realityworks. Thank you, and good luck with your efforts!

  23. Jean Woodward

I appreciate the value of the Real Care Infant simulators. My students gain valuable experience with the simulators and have enjoyed the opportunity the simulators provide. Our recent purchase of 2 additional babies has increased the time each student has with the baby. Previous purchases included both a car seat and base that is secured into the vehicle but with our recent purchase we only received the car seat, no base. The only thing I would have appreciated was being told that the base would not be included. Excellent educational program for the value.

    • realityworks_webadmin

Thank you for the RealCare Baby Program review. Recently we did change the type of car seats we offer and they no longer have a base as they are for educational purposes only. Your feedback is appreciated and will be shared with our team for future communications.

  24. Treva Daniels-Carlson

I have used RealCare 2 plus infant simulators for some years now. Last spring, I was able to trade them in and get even more, along with other materials. I love the new software and tracking improvements.

  25. Julie Truesdell

The RealCare Baby 3 has given my students the opportunity to get a quick but realistic snapshot of what life as a teen parent would be like. There are 15 different programs that can be set, each modeled after a real baby and the journal that its parents kept about its care. There are several ways to customize care to be sensitive to individual student needs while still creating a meaningful learning opportunity. Programming is a snap, and grades are quick and easy to access. I especially like the printed grade report that each student receives after care – the details on it are extraordinary. The technical support staff is incredibly helpful, too. My students look forward to this project each year, and it never disappoints! So many wonderful lessons have been learned in my classroom thanks to the RealCare Baby 3 program!
